The Ajinomoto Stadium Big Flea Market is one of Japan’s largest and most popular flea markets, held monthly at Ajinomoto Stadium in Chofu City (a little way out of Tokyo central, but make it into a day trip!). Featuring around 800 stalls, it offers a diverse range of goods, from vintage clothing, second-hand apparel, and traditional kimonos to antiques, toys, handmade crafts, and fresh produce.
The market attracts both professional vendors and casual sellers, creating a lively atmosphere where haggling is common and encouraged. Visitors can also enjoy food trucks, live performances, and festival-style games, making it a vibrant community event. Entry costs ¥300, with an early bird option for ¥1,000 allowing access from 8:00 AM, ideal for those seeking the best deals.
